Hyper-V Replica
From: Microsoft Virtualization Secrets by John Savill
Hyper-V Replica is a NEW feature in windows Server 2012 that enables asynchronous replication of a virtual machine’s storage from one Hyper-V host to another Hyper-V host. After the seed replica is store, only delta (changes) are replicated periodically, every 5 minutes. In the event of a disaster, sys ads can activate the replicated virtual machine.
Configuring Replication is done via the “Replication Configuration ” setting where you can select the transport protocol to use. either over port 80 (http) or 443 (https). Then you enable individual machines to have a replica through the “Enable Replication” action, which starts up the enable replication wizard.
