Okay. So I imported a GPS/SMS device that will sms me the time, longitude,latitude and speed of the gps every x minutes. I get the SMS on my phone and I wanted to plot it on Google maps or Microsoft Virtual Earth.

How to do it?

Step 1:
Plug in the values into Excel, one column for each of the data, but actually, if you’re lazy, you can plug in only the longitude and latitude.

Step2:
Convert the XLS into KML format. For this, you need to use a Xls to KML web utility thensave the .kml file.

Step 3:
Install Google Earth, and then open the saved .kml file. Or in Microsoft Virtual Earth, go to Your collections/import then import the .kml file.
