I got this cute little package from Alex C. of Innovista to play with. It plugs into the USB port and instantly allows one to view and record their favorite TV channels from both Antenna and cable source.

I set about to see if this device also supported Microsoft Windows Media encoder. So far there is a bug, its either in Windows Media Encoder, or in the video capture dll of the PVR 3000. I get the “invalid or corrupt data” when i hit the record button on the windows media encoder.

The funny thing is , i know its not the codec issue, as i can view the preview screen on the windows media encoder. I will try to sort this out with both Microsoft support and Kworld.
