Problem with Wordspew shoutbox
A few days after we installed the Wordspew Shoutbox into the eradioportal blog, one problem quickly became apparent. The volume of traffic combined with the AJAX code used up a lot of memory. See my earlier post on shoutboxes.
We had to uninstall this quickly to relieve the pressure. So for the next few days, i shopped around for alternative hosted shoutboxes. My criteria, was that it should look good, responsive, and it should be easily integrated with my present blog.
My research took to me trying this shoutbox from oggix.com. I have installed this into all major prepys.com sites. The entry in any of the shoutboxes will be reflected in all the other confederated sites. I did notice that i had to constantly refresh the page to see if there are any new post with this system. But so far, we are happy with the shoutbox.
