Activating Polls or Surveys in your Blog
Mr Ermin Garica over at Pangasinan’s News Leader asked if his website could provide polling capabilities. Since i am a newbie and wanted to learn more about how this was done, i volunteered to do the research.
What a happy surprise! I googled ‘poll ajax’ to find Democracy by Andrew sutherland over at Jalenack.
Democracy adds polling functionality to your WordPress blog. It grew out of frustration with the only other WordPress polling option, WP-poll.
The template that we are using at prepys.com already has Democracy as a plugin. No additional work needed. I simply went into the admin mode, and enabled the Democracy plugin. After that, i went into the [Manage][Democracy] and proceeded to make my first polling questions, and a set of matching choices. Once that was done, i [activated] the poll. And that was all there is to it! Simple. I am glad Francis choose to standardize on this template that prepys.com is now using!
