WebTraffic Case: Traffic Measure Discrepancy
I had one of the sites www.eradioportal.com using two web traffic measuring engines. Blogflux and Google Webanalytics. The funny thing is, the statistics from both seem to differ by a lot.
For instance, Blogflux reports only 6500 unique visit for yesterday, while google reports over 10,000 unique visit! Which leads me to suspect that blogflux may not be counting some of the visits. Further details involve the referrers. Blogflux mapstats did not mention what google tracked, and i am sure google is correct:
Surfmusic.de, thefilipino.com and news.inquirer.net were among the top listed referrers by google, but was conspiciously absent from blogflux mapstats. What gives?
I visited blogflux blogs and saw this http://blog.blogflux.com/slight-problem-with-top-sites/ article that could explain the discrepancy.
